INDIAN spice exports have shown a 29% increase in rupee value terms over the April to September period despite a decline of 19% in volumes.

During the 2011 period, a total quantity of 280 tonnes of large cardamom valued at Rs226.8m was exported against 210 tonnes valued at Rs99.7m last year.

The unit value of large cardamom has increased to Rs809.82 per kg between April and September 2011 from Rs474.68 per kg in the equivalent phase of 2010...READ MORE
